The special release marks adidas’s celebration of their famed Torsion technology’s 30th anniversary with the ZX 8000 returning as a near replica to the original 1989 release. The modern version of the shoe now includes fuzzy suede green overlays and panels on the upper. Both the toe and mid-panel sport a white base with an overlapping gradient blue-ish aqua pattern. Tan Three-Stripes branding covers the mid-panel and toe and is visible on the sock liner as well. The midsole with adidas’s Torsion technology takes on a seafoam hue and is finished off with a black outsole to give the vintage shoe a late-80s vibe. The adidas ZX 8000 “Light Aqua” was released on November 16, 2019.
